Title I Targeted Assistance School
Cherokee Charter Academy is a Title I targeted assistance school. This means that we do not have a high enough student population on the free/reduced lunch program to qualify for a schoolwide Title I school. However, as a Title I targeted assistance school, we do receive some funds for programs that will provide services to eligible children identified as having the greatest academic needs.
This year, we are servicing our most at academic at risk students through a math/reading builder program. K-5 students are pulled for extra help during differentiation time, while middle school students are pulled during one of their specials. Amy Towriss is our math specialist and Brittany Chapman is our reading specialist. Please contact them if you have questions about our programs.
